I love a winter wedding at the Roundhouse Beacon Falls in the Hudson Valley’s Beacon, NY. For such a large space, it’s surprisingly cozy and intimate especially with their choices of winter wonderland decor. Perfect for lovebirds, Stephanie and Peter, who chose deep winter colors and sumptuous tablescapes with pine cones, pears, evergreens, and that amazing lit tree ceremony backdrop by Home/Made Hudson. So romantic. And Stephanie’s Mom made the adorable flower girl silk plaid dresses.
I had the pleasure of photographing Stephanie and Peter’s engagement photos last year and fell in love with them immediately. They are as lovely on the inside as they are gorgeous on the outside.
“Stephanie and I met as two poor and starving post-grads working at the same startup in 2009, but there were 4 years and a few jobs between when we met and when we went on our first date. I always nursed a crush for her, and at a mutual friend’s birthday party I mustered the courage to ask her out. Unfortunately, this was in mid-February, and our first open night for our first date was…Valentine’s day. Sparing that awkwardness, we locked in February 15th as our first date.
We’ve been partners for 8 years, have lived together for 6, and despite all that history it is still a great new adventure being married. It also helps that we now have a new anniversary – December 21st.”
