A foggy Quogue Field Club Wedding:
This was my second time shooting a Quogue Field Club wedding (pronounced “kwog”) in, yep, Quogue, NY on the Eastern End of Long Island, and about my 20th time working with the wonderfully talented and charming caterer, John Perry at A Small Affair. The beautiful expanse of the golf course with the trees in the distance, the tall hedges surrounding the property, the lofty white reception space, and the fog that rolls in almost every day (they call in Quogue Fog and it scared the bleep out of me leaving that night after the wedding) all contributed wonderfully to this beautiful super photogenic wedding.
A Little about our Cuties:
Annie and Patrick first met in Manhattan during an internship in the summer of 2012 at J.P. Morgan. They immediately hit it off and became fast friends. Unfortunately, the summer ended and they went back to their respective business schools at the University of Virginia and Georgetown. They kept in touch and were reunited the following year when they both accepted full time jobs at J.P. Morgan. There the stars aligned and the two were assigned seats next to each other during training. After some encouragement from Annie (and a careful review of their company’s H.R. policy), Patrick finally asked Annie to join him for dinner one night after work for an official date. In April of 2016 Patrick planned a trip to Hawaii and surprised Annie with a ring on the beach in Honolulu and she accepted.
First Look, First Dance:
These guys had one of those “first looks” that you just love to see. They both looked truly smitten and just psyched to see each other in Annie’s parents’ gorgeous backyard. Check out the shots taken with my vintage panoramic film camera of them seeing each other for the first time. So cute. And when they practiced their first dance in the fog by the Field Club, WOW.
