It’s easy to make City Hall fabulous when you design and sew your own damn wedding dress. And when you start at The Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg, one of the best places ever, by the way. Amber and Steve opted for a simple City Hall wedding and they rocked it with their great sense of style.
Amber got ready at the Wythe Hotel and literally was sewn into the gorgeous gown that she designed and made (!!) by her mother as she called friends to let them know that they were getting married that day and to please meet them that night at their neighborhood bar in Brooklyn for drinks and cake cutting.
As always, the ceremony at City Hall was delightfully simple and perfect. They really do it well there, loads of love and heart from the officiant. They really seem to care about each and every couple.
We then ran outside for a few family and friend photos and off in an Uber to Crispo in Chelsea, a lovely Italian restaurant. Wine and Italian food flowed and love and rain was in the air.
Driving across the Willamsburg Bridge a double rainbow appeared. Of course. Because Amber and Steve are that awesome. A quick stop on their rooftop, rainbow shots, and off to the bar, the friends, the cake.
